Triple Release: Choriki Robo Galatt - Episode 15 / Noriko '85 (LD) / Maple Town's Traffic Safety (16mm 1080p Scan)

Decided to do something different for today. I have three fansub releases for today, but I didn't feel like separating these into their own posts just out of pure laziness, so I will be combining them all into this single post. I'll try and divide each release accordingly.

With that being said...

CHANGE, GALATT!

Same case with my recent Getter Robo Go upload from last week—I didn't intend on continuing this until I finished my (next) ongoing Borgman batch, but that's still a WIP. So I need to throw some other stuff up in the meantime. This episode was actually sorta already completed for a few months now, it just needed TLC which I've thankfully gotten around to this past week.

Anyways! In this episode, Michael and friends finally arrive back to Earth, only to find Doctor Kiwi in shambles...and with a new female assistant?! She acts kind of weird though. Salad Oil also arranges another visit to Earth after a supposed surrender, which doesn't last very long. Also: the show seems to be hinting at a new wave of enemies that even the Space Syndicate are frightful of. I wonder who they are?

Last note: I also want to put onto this post two TL notes, one of which I was unable to put into the episode due to timing length constraints.

1. Sakuko, as you can probably tell after watching this episode, acts very old-fashioned. Somewhere in the episode, Michael and friends guess that she was born in the year of the boar and that her blood type is B. Apparently there's a Japanese superstition that the year you're born in and your blood type affects your personality. Not that I know anything—I'm just passing down what I heard from the TL'er and one of the guys who helped TLC this for me.

2. Before Salad Oil's arrival, an airshow plays out between two fighter jets.

Please note that there is a chance that the commentator's subbed lines in this episode may not be correct.

His dialogue gets drowned out as soon as the governor and the others start speaking—I've had multiple people TLC this (a native JP speaker being one of them) and they all had trouble with this. What is currently subbed so far is the best that could be made out considering all the context and such. If by some chance someone figures it out then maybe I could update it in the show's next batch, but for now I'm leaving it as is.

This one is actually long overdue LOL.
Anyways—this is a LaserDisc containing music videos based off several tracks from Noriko Watanabe's vocal album of the same name. Lyrics have been subbed in English, and the LD was captured using a Domesday Duplicator.

Another short collab with Kineko Video. This one's yet another educational short taking place within the Maple Town universe that centers around traffic safety. Doesn't seem to have gotten a DVD release (per the usual), having only been circulated to schools via 16mm reels and VHS copies.

That does it for today's fansub releases. As usual, fansub credits for each separate work can be found in the Nyaa link aboves.
